Grenada Citizenship By Investment Program

Grenada is located in the Lesser Antilles in the Eastern Caribbean and forms part of an archipelago of islands. Also known as the Isle of Spice, Grenada has an area of 133 square miles (344 square km) and has two dependencies, namely, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Carriacou has an area of 13 square miles (33.7 square km) and lies 20 miles to the north of Grenada. Petite Martinique comprises 586 acres (2.37 square km). Excellent ferry services facilitate the easy movement of persons between the three islands. The islands boast lush forests and vegetation and beautiful white sand beaches. While Grenada has 45 beaches, the Grande Anse beach is unrivalled. It stretches for two miles along the Caribbean Sea and exudes such tranquility and serenity that it is by far the most sought after beach.

One of the numerous reasons to visit the three magnificent main islands is for the breathtaking scenery. Grenada’s popularity as a favorite destination for many high net worth investors has been bolstered by diving, sailing, outstanding restaurants, fabulous beaches, and a schedule of spectacular festivals. It is not surprising that it is home to several major hotels. Grenada is also important for its’ educational opportunities. For over 35 years, the island has been home to the world-renowned St. George’s University which has in excess of 6,000 students from over 140 countries. The University, best known for its medicine and veterinary science faculties also offers diverse Arts and Science programs.

Grenada has magnificent historical sites and landmarks to explore. The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is a masterful piece of underwater artwork covering approximately 800 square meters and comprising over 65 concrete human form sculptures. It is the world’s first underwater sculpture park and was created by Jason DeCaires Taylor, a British Sculptor. Grenada is also well known for its fortifications of which the most noted are Fort George and Fort Frederick. It gained independence from the United Kingdom on the 7th February, 1974.

About the Grenada Citizenship Program

The Citizenship by Investment Program was re-established in 2013 and has its legal foundations in the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act, No.15 of 2013 together with various amendments to the Act and supporting Regulations. Investors are given the opportunity to apply for themselves and their dependents to become lifetime citizens of Grenada in accordance with legal requirements.
